A music production retreat designed for true breakthroughs, created by producers who know what it takes.
Soundcation is a rare chance to learn directly from world-class DJs and producers in one of the most inspiring places on earth: Bali. These are the artists you admire, and this is often the only time you can sit with them, ask questions, and see how they actually work.
The sessions are small and personal. You’ll get close access to their process and honest advice about what it really takes to grow as a producer.
But Soundcation is much more than learning. It’s about the people you’ll meet. You’ll connect with other producers who share your drive and passion. Many leave with new friends, collaborators, and networks that completely change their path in music.
And all of this happens in Bali—a place where you can create, reset, and have experiences you’ll never forget.
Instructors
Richard Durand
DAW: Logic.
Greatest Career Achievement(s): “The Air I Breathe” with Christina Novelli won #1 ASOT Tune of the Year in 2018. In 2019, “Save You” reached the #2 spot, and “Nebula” with Aly & Fila #7 and “About A Love” #17. Big collaboration with Armin van Buuren beginning of 2026 called “Always You”.
Specialties: Creating strong melodies. Good ear for hearing what a track is missing and what it might still need, whether it’s in the melody or the low end, like the kick and basslines.
Sunny Lax
DAW: Cubase.
Greatest Career Achievement(s): Sunny has performed at some of the biggest festivals and clubs across the globe. He’ll share how touring shaped his sound, what he learned from connecting with audiences everywhere, and how those experiences can inspire your own music.
Specialties: Kick, Bass & Melodies. Known for his powerful low end and unforgettable melodies, Sunny will break down his approach to crafting driving kick & bass foundations and writing emotional hooks that stick with listeners.
Dennis Sheperd
DAW: Cubase, Ableton Live, Bitwig.
Greatest Career Achievement(s): Mixing ‘In Search Of Sunrise 18’. Collaborating with Markus Schulz + Rank 1. Remixing Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery, Above & Beyond + Markus Schulz! Playing ASOT Festival, Ministry Of Sound, Space Miami, Stereo Montreal etc. Over 50 million streams on Spotify. Sound designer for Vengeance and Black Octopus Sound.
Specialties: 1-on-1 coaching, mixing & mastering, fast workflow, vocal processing, sound design.
