Your method of transportation to the destination city of the retreat is NOT included in the Retreat pricing. We can assist you in your travel planning but you are ultimately responsible for the cost of travel.

This will be coordinated and arranged with Trance Retreat organizers based on your arrival time. Pick-up and Drop-off at a central point easily accessible for visitors will be provided.
We strongly recommend arriving at least 1 day early to the city where the Retreat is being hosted to ensure that you do not miss any content!

A detailed preparation guide and schedule of instructional events and side events will be emailed out to participants no later than 1 month prior to the start of the Retreat.

The seven day retreat will include the following formal instructional content:

  • Over 20 hours of group instructional content (8 x formal seminars, group track production, panels & informal talks)
  • 2 OR 3 (depending on package choice) hours of 1-on-1 time with the producer of your choice (*signups on a first-come-first-serve basis)

We strongly recommend that all participants bring at least the following to optimize their learning experience:

  • A laptop (with DAW pre-installed, sample packs, etc)
  • Studio quality headphones
  • A notebook for taking notes
  • Optional:
    • A small midi controller or keyboard
    • USB Hub
    • External Hard Drive

Our instructors typically use a variety of DAWs (Cubase, Logic, Ableton, FL Studio are just a few examples) but are typically proficient with other platforms as well. As long as you are comfortable with your platform of choice you will be able to follow along for the vast majority of content.

Additionally, there are stock plug-ins or 3rd party plug-ins that will perform similar functions across all platforms, and VSTs such a Sylenth1, Spire, Serum, etc will all look and feel the same across all platforms.

Please check with your country’s government website for any relevant travel warnings about traveling to the cities where the retreat is being hosted. We are not responsible for entry related Visas.

We provide a safe learning environment and our program is thoroughly planned, but no responsibility will be taken for any injuries incurred during the retreat. We encourage participants to secure travel insurance for all international travel.

Part of every participant’s acceptance process involves a screening interview and call. We want to get to know a bit about your music production background and your journey. If we don’t feel that going on a Soundcation will help you get closer to achieving your music production goals then we will let you know and also offer alternate suggestions!

Spending a week with top level producers in a unique environment provides an unparalleled networking experience, as well as the opportunity to improve your production skills and acquire new techniques. You’ll also form friendships with other like-minded producers, and hopefully find the motivation needed to overcome any barriers you may have with music production!
